Zdzisław Beksiński (1929-2005)
Poland’s pride, Beksiński didn’t invent these things on the spot, he just painted his painfully pervasive nightmares as a form of relief. Too bad he was murdered for a quick buck by a lowlife he knew. He also experienced his son’s suicide. His son will be forever remembered for his brilliant translation of “Monthy Python and the Holy Grail” into Polish.
